CAMPUS FACILITIES:

Fayetteville Beauty College is located in its own building at 2167 & 2177 WEST 6th with a large parking area. The school has a large student lab area and classroom space with modern facilities and equipment.

HOURS OF OPERATION
Daytime: Tues - Sat
          8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.

Instructor Training - Six hundred hours of the following curriculum are required as a prerequisite to qualify for the teachers examination. Courses extend over a period of not less than (600) hours of attendance over a period of not less than four (4) months.

A teacher-trainee shall be: (a) licensed as a cosmetologist in the state of Arkansas, (b) registered as a teacher-trainee with the Board, (c) under the immediate supervision of a licensed instructor at all times, (d) unauthorized to give student daily slips, (e) given a written examination after completion of each subject by the licensed instructor.

Instructor Training Hours
Required preparatory training in 50
1. Teaching of theory and practical operations
2. Selecting subject matter for class lecture.
3. Preparing class lecture.
4. Conducting a review of all subjects taught.
5. Preparing and grading examinations.
6. Demonstrating practical operations.
7. Teaching practical operations.
Class Attendance 100
Classes will conducted by a licensed instructor to prepare teacher-trainee to properly lecture and demonstrate on all subjects of cosmetology.
Conducting Theory Classes 50
Topics covered are: sterilization and bacteriology, osteology, myology, neurology, angiology, dermatology, trichology, unguiology, cosmetricity, canitics, permanent waving.
Conducting Practical Classes in Cosmetology 300
Permanent Waving (Machine, Machineless, Cold Wave)
Facials (Makeup,Waxing, Packs, Masks, Eyebrow Arches, Electric Facials)
Shampoo (Wet Waving, Fingerwaves, Combouts)
Scalp Treatments (Hair and Scalp Treatments, Electric Scalp Treatments)
Canitics (Tinting, Bleaching, Corrective Hair Coloring, Removal of Hair Coloring)
Manicuring (Plain and Oil), Sanitation, Sterilization
Predisposition Tests
Thermal pressing and iron curling and blow drying
Methods of Keeping Student Records 10
Training in subjects in which the individual teacher - trainee may be deficient, or to the practice of Cosmetology 90

All books will be supplied by the student.
A licensed instructor will supervise all classes conducted by a teacher-trainee. The teacher-trainee will be able to teach in a licensed school the subjects of cosmetology, manicuring and related areas upon successfully passing a state licensing exam.
